$867,000 VERDICT
Our attorneys tried a case in May 2017 on behalf of a gentleman who was served broken glass in his drink at a local restaurant. The restaurant offered $33,000 to settle prior to trial, defending the case by arguing that plaintiff's damages were attributable to acid reflux and not erosive esophagitis. The Fulton State Court jury brought back a verdict against the restaurant for $867,000. No appeal was taken on that verdict.

CLASS CERTIFICATION UPHELD
In the summer of 2017 a class action lawsuit, represented by York Gaskill, was successfully certified as a class by the Superior Court of Fulton County. It is currently being litigated in that Court. That case went twice to the Georgia Court of Appeals, and ultimately the Court of Appeals upheld the Trial Court's decision to certify the class. The Class Action status will be updated with pleadings in connection with that Class Action matter based on the direction from that Court.
